I was really inspired to do this for a while. I may make it into a series too. Not a door series but a series representing the concept of “escape”
I had a lot of anxiety growing up and one of the reasons was my need for an escape. Escape from anything. So I’m very passionate about capturing that, and may do a couple more with that idea in mind :)

Unfortunately, like so many of his ideas, it was quickly lost to the dark corners of his mind, having been replaced by the promise of more interesting things: vacuums, bacon and naps.

(I love this image… not just Miles, or the pose. I also love the details in the hand, the fine focus of the lightbulb, hand and sleeve, the grain of the sand in the foreground, the general grain and tone of the film… which in this case, is Acros 100, a very contrasty film. I didn’t think it would work well for this kind of portrait… it surprised me.)

I’ve been in California for the past few weeks, and it wouldn’t have been proper for me to go without taking a Lego stormtrooper with me.
This was taken on Venice Beach, a short walk from Santa Monica where I was staying at the time.
I have taken quite a few photos over the past two weeks, so forgive the next few non-Lego photos I will be posting :-)
